Baked Parmesan Tilapia

[ 3 ] May 19, 2010 |

Tilapia is by far my favorite fish to eat. It’s absolutely delicious! And this is my favorite way to serve tilapia. It’s a very simple recipe that has great flavor. Broiling the fish for a minute before serving makes it look great, plus it adds a nice crunch! You could definitely use this recipe with other fish as well. Give it a try!

Ingredients:

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • ½ cup parmesan
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Dash of lemon juice

This is SO delicious! Seriously, I am pretty excited to share this recipe.

First you want to preheat your oven to 400° and line a cookie sheet with foil that is sprayed lightly with cooking spray. Place your tilapia fillets on the foil. Using a spoon or an icing spatula, coat each fillet evenly with the mayonnaise. Top the mayo with the parmesan and garlic. Now you want to season each fillet with salt, pepper, basil and oregano. Add a couple dashes of lemon juice over the fillets and then cover them with the bread crumbs.

Bake the fish for about 10 minutes and then turn the broiler on for a minute. This will brown the breadcrumbs nicely.

And that’s it! Simple right?! This baked parmesan tilapia with breadcrumbs is absolutely amazing. If there was one dinner dish I could recommend for someone who was a fish fan, this would be it. YUM!

What is your favorite type of fish to eat? Nothing compares to tilapia in my book : )
