Fajita Burgers

[ 3 ] June 7, 2010 |

I am a huge burger fan, so when I was digging through my cabinet one night, this recipe just kind of came to me! I had been on this southwestern food kick so this kind of thing was on my mind. It’s very, very delicious and serving it with some sautéed peppers and onions really did me in! I made half pound patties, so they were super intense! Give these a try; I know they will be a big hit!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon grill seasoning
  • Hot sauce

Feel free to add as much hot sauce as you want! Or none at all! It’s totally up to you. I loved the mix of these seasonings, so I would at least try it with this combination before you change anything. The grill seasoning I used was McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning. It’s great, it goes with so many things, but if you don’t have it on hand, it’s not a big deal! You can substitute some pepper, garlic and a tiny bit of paprika. It’s a great mix to use for burgers in general though, so it’s nice to have on hand.

These burgers are so simple! Just combine all the ingredients listed and grill to your liking! As I said, I made two HUGE half pound burgers. They were great, but super filling of course!

I served them on some homemade tortillas (you can find my recipe for tortillas here!) and topped them with sautéed mushrooms, onions and bell peppers. Just get them ready while your burgers are cooking, perfect timing!

These fajita burgers were absolutely delicious! They have wonderful flavor and were way too simple to make. I highly recommend giving these burgers a try!
