Guest Post : Hamburger Tarts
I am super excited about posting this recipe! I asked around to see if anyone wanted to do a guest post (because I like getting to read yummy new recipes too!) and ta-da, they have now begun. This recipe is awesome – I actually got a chance to make it for my husband before this post and he loved them! So a big thanks to My Little Review Corner for sharing this with everyone! You should definitely check out her site - lots of great giveaways and reviews as well as other great posts, there’s something to check out for everyone! So try this simple and delicious recipe she shared with me and stop by her blog to tell her thanks (because you are gonna love this one!).
Ingredients:
- 18 slices bread
- 1/4 cup margarine (as needed)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 cup grated cheese (of choice)
- BBQ sauce or ketchup (for topping)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove crusts from bread then butter one side. Place bread, buttered side down, into muffin tins and gently mold into the shape of the tin.
Mix all remaining ingredients (except BBQ sauce/ketchup) in a large bowl. Fill each bread slice with about 1/4 cup of mixture. On a quick note – I also added mushrooms because we had so many and I used ground turkey instead of beef. I didn’t have a lot of bread, so as you can see in the pictures, I took some leftover crust and pushed it around the edges for a few of them. It worked great, but if you have the bread, I suggest doing them the regular way – they were definitely better!
Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees until mixture is browned on top and cooked throughly. Top with BBQ sauce (or ketchup) and return to the oven for 3 minutes.
Serve these delicious hamburger tarts warm with your choice of side. My husband was supposed to have a side, but he liked these so much, he said no thanks! He loved these cute little treats and asked me to make them a regular around here.
